Cam'ron Reportedly Rips Off Brooklyn Promoter For $7,000
A Brooklyn promoter is stating that Dipset artist, Cam'ron, cost him $7,000 for a no-show performance on NYE.
Well here's something that we hear too much of, but yet still seems to happen quite often. If you're going to do business with somebody for a large amount of money, make sure you have some sort of signed legal documentation or contract to back it. According to hiphopwired, Brooklyn promoter, Lou Galluch, allegedly lost $7,000 for Cam'ron to perform at his New Years Eve party which he never attended.
According to Galluch, he had to pay 8,000 to book the Dipset artist through a mutual contact. However the day before NYE, Galluch's contact had to leave town for some family issue and referred Cam's DJ, Moe Sticky, to finish the business deal. This is what Galluch had said:
"So I meet [Moe Sticky] that next day [Sunday], and I said, 'Bring the signed contracts and I'll give you the money,'" Galluch told the Village Voice. "He shows up with no contracts, and I have the money. This is the day before New Year's, everything is happening. Promotion has gone out, pre-sales are coming in...and they show up with no contracts...[my original contact says,] 'Yeah, [Cam'ron]'s gonna show, give [Moe] the money.'"
Following this exchange, Galluch gave Moe Sticky $3,000 deposit for assurance that Cam' ron will show at the event. However when push came to shove, there was no Cam. Galluch mentioned that Cam'ron was supposed to hit the stage around 3:00 AM, but with the venue not at capacity, he wished to push back his performance til 4:30 AM. Moe Sticky allegedly agreed to these terms if he received another $2,000. Now, when it came time to hit the stage again, Galluch says this is where Cam'ron, Moe Sticky and the rest of their team had dipped out with the money and no performance. Of course, there's two sides to every story and Moe Sticky has his. However, Galluch isn't planning to follow through with on any sort of lawsuit and he doesn't blame Cam'ron for the "sticky" situation.

Freeway Ricky Ross And Warner Music Continue To Battle In Court
Former drug kingpin Freeway Ricky Ross continues to fight for the name "Rick Ross."
The real Ricky Ross has vowed to drag some of the biggest names in music associated with rapper Rick Ross to court to testify.
“We will be deposing Sean Combs, Stephen Cooper, Lyor Cohen and Todd Moscowitz,” he said.
Earlier this week, rapper Rick Ross revealed the name of his upcoming album Mastermind in a brand new trailer which includes Curtis Mayfield's "Gimme Your Love" and an image from the 1972 Superfly movie soundtrack.
Freeway Ricky Ross considers the album title and the trailer both a slap in the face and another attempt to further steal his identity.
“This guy is literally trying to have people confuse him with me as an actual person,” Freeway Ricky Ross continued. “In every interview I mention ‘Superfly’ as the movie that pushed me into powder cocaine. I even said it in the VH1′s Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and The Crack Generation, that was shown around the world. Then he comes out with this new video with the Superfly movie cover as the centerpiece?”
Freeway Ricky Ross was the mastermind behind the crack-cocaine Los Angeles drug trade in the 80s who served 25 years in a federal prison. He became an urban legend when it was revealed his drug empire was connected to the Iran-Contra scandal. Once released from prison, Freeway Ricky Ross filed a $10 million lawsuit against the Miami rapper claiming he stole his image. A judge dismissed the lawsuit in November of 2010 saying the former drug lord could not use illegal activity to trademark "Rick Ross." He appealed that decision but was rejected again, this time on a technicality. In July of 2012, a judge granted Freeway Ricky Ross permission to file the lawsuit against Warner Music.
“The use of my name and image helps him in internet search globally. Its career launching high value to be believed to be the only hip hop artist on this list,” Freeway Rick Ross said. “Initially it grounded his career in the confusion, now it helps clean up the inauthenticity that came out about being an officer. I don’t need my name and image diluted and confused that way without license. The use of the Superfly movie in this new video is directly connected with me personally as said prior.”
Judge Rita Miller has set a new court date for August 27.
Juelz Santana Says "God Will'n" Is "Crazy," Discusses Possibility Of Dipset Project
Juelz Santana talks about his new leak, "Soft," his "God Will'n" mixtape, and Dipset.
Juelz Santana is finally making a comeback in the rap game, first with his mixtape God Will'n dropping next week, and an album to follow. He's had a rocky path to where he's at now, but he promises great stuff with God Will'n, as well talks on the possibility of a Dipset project with Funkmaster Flex.
He begins by discussing his recent leak, "Soft," which had the massive line up of Fabolous, Meek Mill & Rick Ross. "I hope everybody else loves it. It's a good feeling Flex. I been working so hard. That song is actually like a scratch, little piece off the ice berg." Juelz continued, "It was a heavily requested song, everybody saw that [on the tracklist], they wanted to hear it, so I was like lemme just throw that out there, get the people excited. Shoutout to Fab, shoutout to Meek. For some reason a lot of people think me and Fab got issues or whatever so, it was just a good record I felt to throw out there, show me getting off, Ross on the hook, You know, that's the wave that's going on right now, so for me to just jump in that world and get crazy real quick, act up real quick. But the tape is crazy, God Will'n.
Funkmaster Flex also broaches the topic of a Dipset project, and why their music didn't always came to fruition. Juelz explains the possibility is definitely there, now that he's back on his grind musically."Definitely, definitely Flex. Shoutout to Jim, shoutout to Cam. At the time, when we put out the "Salute" record, it was still at the time where I wasn't doing a lot of music, period.I wasn't back in the zone I needed to be in, musically." Juelz continued, "It's not even about that project, you know like, I took a break, a break from everything. All the people that reached out to me for records and things at certain times, I just wanna put it out there, I'm back. Getting back to the Dipset project, I'ma say I wasn't really in my mojo to sit down and complete a Dipset project. That's why I'm saying it is possible, I'm sure Cam is willing to do it, I'm sure Jim is willing to do it, I've always been willing to do it, it was just about me getting my music mojo back."

Justin Bieber caught smoking weed with Lil Twist
Justin Bieber kicked off the new year on a real high note -- clutching a smoldering blunt at a big party inside a Newport Beach hotel room this week ... and TMZ has the photos.
The pics were snapped on January 2nd -- the day after a paparazzo was killed while trying to take photos of Bieber's Ferrari -- and it's pretty obvious ... Bieber wasn't feeling too bad about the whole situation.
Sources at the party tell TMZ, Bieber's BFF Lil Twist was there too -- the 19-year-old rapper who was driving the Biebs' Ferrari at the time the paparazzo was killed.
According to sources, Twist and his brother were rolling all the blunts and smoking everyone up ... and there was a LOT of pot smoke.
It's pretty ironic -- considering sources close to Bieber were insistent ... the photog who was killed lied when he said Justin was smoking weed hours before the fatal accident.
And there's this -- we're told Bieber had security present ... but no one seemed to mind that people were snapping photos.
As for talking points -- sources tell us Bieber was chatting it up about how tired he was because he'd been staying up late recently. Shockingly, we're told the conversation eventually turned to late night fast food ... and where they could get it.
We're told a girl also crashed in the hotel room with Justin -- NOT Selena. It's unclear if they hooked up.
Bieber's people had no comment.

N.O.R.E Changes Name to P.A.P.I.
Noreaga changes his name from N.O.R.E. to P.A.P.I., which stands for Power Always Proves Intelligence.
Looking to do something different, Queens-bred emcee Noreaga has decided to change his name from N.O.R.E. to P.A.P.I., which stands Power Always Proves Intelligence. But why after 16 years in the industry do you think he decided to switch things up now? He spoke with MTV and had this to say:
“Sometimes if you’re lost, the best way to find where you’re at is to go to the beginning. My mother doesn’t even call me Victor, my father has never called me Victor, my teachers didn’t even call me Victor… My name in Lefrak City and my name in Queens is actually P.A.P.I., it’s not even N.O.R.E.”
Look for the name change to be in full effect for his upcoming album 'Student Of The Game'.
A$AP Rocky's "Fuckin Problem" Single Hits Gold
Despite an early album leak, A$AP Rocky's massive single "Fuckin Problem" has sold over 500,000 units.
One of the most hotly anticipated albums of 2012 was A$AP Rocky’s studio debut Long.Live.A$AP, which was pushed back to early 2013. Unfortunately for the Harlem talent his album leaked well in advance of the January 15th release date. This however, has not stopped his mammoth single “Fuckin Problem” from selling, as the single recently went Gold.
As one of the hottest tracks of 2012, Rocky linked up with 2 Chainz, Drake, and fellow rising star, Kendrick Lamar on “Fuckin Problems” and the tune became an overnight sensation. Currently No. 6 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 26 on the general Hot 100, over the holidays it topped the 500k mark and now has over 591,000 units sold.
This is a good sign for Pretty Flocko that enough people will be supporting his music that hopefully his Long.Live.A$AP LP will continue to sell despite the early leak.
Hulk Hogan Refiles $100 Million Sex Tape Lawsuit
Hulk Hogan is back in court to refile the dispute over his leaked sex tape from October of last year— which shows the ex-pro wrester smushing radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge's ex-wife Heather Clem.
Here's how TMZ is reporting it:
"Hulk dismissed the lawsuit in federal court without prejudice last month, and refiled it in Florida state court -- where he's also currently suing his sex tape partner Heather Clem ... the ex-wife of radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge. Hulk claims Clem played a role in leaking the footage to the media.
Hulk's lawyer tells TMZ, Hulk dismissed the federal case in order to consolidate his claims against both Clem and Gawker ... i.e. to bring both cases under the same roof ... which ultimately means less paperwork and attorney's fees."
The tape in question is said to have been recorded more than 6 years ago. Do you think Hogan has a case? Let us know your thoughts.

Kat Stacks Released from Jail; Immigration and Customs Enforcement Give Stacks Second Chance
The controversial internet star known as Kat Stacks was released from a deportation facility in Louisiana today (January 3rd).
It was just over a year ago that Judge Jerry Beatmann Sr. told Kat Stacks, born Andrea Herrera, that she was going to be deported to her country of origin, Venezuela, after she was arrested for a felony charges that included carrying a concealed firearm in Broward County and disorderly conduct. Then following an appeals process, Judge Beatmann signed the order to release Kat Stacks from her Louisiana immigration facility.
Kat Stacks is well known for her claims to having had wild sex with several rappers including Soulja Boy and Nelly, both of whom denied many of the allegations she spoke about.
Originally Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Kat Stacks and a judge declared “she wasn’t going to add anything to American society.”
Despite the courts stance on her citizenship, her family and lawyer said she was a victim of sex trafficking and that Herrera made up the Kat Stacks persona to survive.
Ultimately, the appeals board voted 2-1 to grant her appeal, stating that it considered Herrera’s criminal history, and declared that “Kat Stacks persona is disturbing and in no way a positive contribution to society,” but that, “other compelling factors, particularly her long history of abuse, outweigh the negative factors.”
Additionally, Kat Stacks has a child born in the United States so that was a factor that the judge and appeals committee considered.
Snoop Lion Discusses Smoking Weed With His Kids, Spiritual “Rebirth” and More
Rapper Snoop Lion set down with GQ magazine in the January issue, to discuss his love of marijuana, as well as his spiritual “rebirth.” In previous interviews, Snoop Lion has stated that he smokes as much as 80 marijuana blunts each day. While he would never encourage his kids to smoke marijuana, the rapper said he would “love” to show them how to properly consume the drug, should they decide to partake. “It’s not that I would ever push weed on our kids,” Snoop Lion told GQ. “But if they wanted to, I would love to show them how, the right way, so that way they won’t get nothing put in their shit or overdose or trying some shit that ain’t clean.” Snoop Lion is preparing to release his 13th studio album, titled Rebirth. The new album showcases Snoop’s evolving image and emphasizes his new, Rastafarian beliefs. According to Snoop Lion, he’s changed his lyrical content, in order to reflect his new, clean way of living. “As you become a man, you start having kids and living,” Snoop Lion explained. “You put the guns away, and your music becomes Hey, I’m with my kid and I’m living now… as opposed to F**k that—I’ll shoot you on sight. …If I focus on death, it’s going to come closer than what it’s supposed to be. You’ll become it.” Snoop experienced this in his own career, in 1993 when he and a bodyguard were accused of gunning down a gang member named Philip Woldermarian, in Long Beach. With the help of a high-profile team of lawyers that included Johnnie Cochran, Snoop was acquitted of all charges in 1996. “Write songs about being shot at and then the shit happens,” Snoop said. “And I don’t want to dwell on it long, but I wrote a song called ‘Murder Was the Case,’ and I never had a murder case in my life. But when that song came out, I had a real murder case.” Snoop Lion album Rebirth is due in stores later this year.

Katt Williams & Suge Knight Involved in Club Fight
Freshly freed Katt Williams had a front row seat last night as good friend Suge Knight got into a CRAZY brawl outside a Hollywood club ... that ended with Suge nearly mowing down some people in his SUV ... just hours after Katt was released from jail. It all went down outside the Eden club. When the video (which is understandably shaky) starts, the massive brawl is already in full swing and you can see Suge trying to go after someone while Katt gets away from the action, walking behind a dumpster. As the camera pans back, you can see Suge on the left side of the frame in a tan long-sleeved shirt. Suge can be seen connecting with some sort of punch, but the actual blow is blocked from view. The next time we see Katt, he's making his way to a black SUV while being chased by someone. Katt appears to get in the car before the guy is able to catch up to him. Suge then gets into a white SUV and guns it, nearly hitting several people on his way out of the parking lot. Katt and Suge were detained and cited by police a little over a week ago and Katt was just arrested Friday for child endangerment and had only been out of jail for a few hours before the brawl went down.

"On my first day he had Jay-Z pumped up full, and we did the entire scene with, you know, Jay-Z in our ear on full blast while acting, and it was just so liberating," Isla Fischer told MTV. Big Boi to Appear Alongside André 3000 in a New Version of Frank Ocean's "Pink Matter"
Six months later, it looks like the world will finally hear a version of Frank Ocean’s “Pink Matter” featuring the complete Outkast: André 3000 and Big Boi. As we learned this summer, Big Boi was originally slated to appear on the Channel Orange until his fellow Outkast put the kibash on the whole thing. André kept his spot on the cut but, as Big Boi tweeted back in July, he “didn’t want an Outkast Record Coming out on anybody else LP.” A few days back, though, Daddy Fat Sax took to Tumblr to post the above image alongside the caption “Dropping a verse on this Frank Ocean “Pink Matter” #vladr.” Big Boi’s representatives later confirmed the new version, which will still feature André and Frank, and noted that it would drop sometime next week. This joint will mark the first Outkast appearance in almost six years.
