Cam'ron Reportedly Rips Off Brooklyn Promoter For $7,000
A Brooklyn promoter is stating that Dipset artist, Cam'ron, cost him $7,000 for a no-show performance on NYE.
Well here's something that we hear too much of, but yet still seems to happen quite often. If you're going to do business with somebody for a large amount of money, make sure you have some sort of signed legal documentation or contract to back it. According to hiphopwired, Brooklyn promoter, Lou Galluch, allegedly lost $7,000 for Cam'ron to perform at his New Years Eve party which he never attended.
According to Galluch, he had to pay 8,000 to book the Dipset artist through a mutual contact. However the day before NYE, Galluch's contact had to leave town for some family issue and referred Cam's DJ, Moe Sticky, to finish the business deal. This is what Galluch had said:
"So I meet [Moe Sticky] that next day [Sunday], and I said, 'Bring the signed contracts and I'll give you the money,'" Galluch told the Village Voice. "He shows up with no contracts, and I have the money. This is the day before New Year's, everything is happening. Promotion has gone out, pre-sales are coming in...and they show up with no contracts...[my original contact says,] 'Yeah, [Cam'ron]'s gonna show, give [Moe] the money.'"
Following this exchange, Galluch gave Moe Sticky $3,000 deposit for assurance that Cam' ron will show at the event. However when push came to shove, there was no Cam. Galluch mentioned that Cam'ron was supposed to hit the stage around 3:00 AM, but with the venue not at capacity, he wished to push back his performance til 4:30 AM. Moe Sticky allegedly agreed to these terms if he received another $2,000. Now, when it came time to hit the stage again, Galluch says this is where Cam'ron, Moe Sticky and the rest of their team had dipped out with the money and no performance. Of course, there's two sides to every story and Moe Sticky has his. However, Galluch isn't planning to follow through with on any sort of lawsuit and he doesn't blame Cam'ron for the "sticky" situation.

Freeway Ricky Ross And Warner Music Continue To Battle In Court
Former drug kingpin Freeway Ricky Ross continues to fight for the name "Rick Ross."
The real Ricky Ross has vowed to drag some of the biggest names in music associated with rapper Rick Ross to court to testify.
“We will be deposing Sean Combs, Stephen Cooper, Lyor Cohen and Todd Moscowitz,” he said.
Earlier this week, rapper Rick Ross revealed the name of his upcoming album Mastermind in a brand new trailer which includes Curtis Mayfield's "Gimme Your Love" and an image from the 1972 Superfly movie soundtrack.
Freeway Ricky Ross considers the album title and the trailer both a slap in the face and another attempt to further steal his identity.
“This guy is literally trying to have people confuse him with me as an actual person,” Freeway Ricky Ross continued. “In every interview I mention ‘Superfly’ as the movie that pushed me into powder cocaine. I even said it in the VH1′s Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and The Crack Generation, that was shown around the world. Then he comes out with this new video with the Superfly movie cover as the centerpiece?”
Freeway Ricky Ross was the mastermind behind the crack-cocaine Los Angeles drug trade in the 80s who served 25 years in a federal prison. He became an urban legend when it was revealed his drug empire was connected to the Iran-Contra scandal. Once released from prison, Freeway Ricky Ross filed a $10 million lawsuit against the Miami rapper claiming he stole his image. A judge dismissed the lawsuit in November of 2010 saying the former drug lord could not use illegal activity to trademark "Rick Ross." He appealed that decision but was rejected again, this time on a technicality. In July of 2012, a judge granted Freeway Ricky Ross permission to file the lawsuit against Warner Music.
“The use of my name and image helps him in internet search globally. Its career launching high value to be believed to be the only hip hop artist on this list,” Freeway Rick Ross said. “Initially it grounded his career in the confusion, now it helps clean up the inauthenticity that came out about being an officer. I don’t need my name and image diluted and confused that way without license. The use of the Superfly movie in this new video is directly connected with me personally as said prior.”
Judge Rita Miller has set a new court date for August 27.
Juelz Santana Says "God Will'n" Is "Crazy," Discusses Possibility Of Dipset Project
Juelz Santana talks about his new leak, "Soft," his "God Will'n" mixtape, and Dipset.
Juelz Santana is finally making a comeback in the rap game, first with his mixtape God Will'n dropping next week, and an album to follow. He's had a rocky path to where he's at now, but he promises great stuff with God Will'n, as well talks on the possibility of a Dipset project with Funkmaster Flex.
He begins by discussing his recent leak, "Soft," which had the massive line up of Fabolous, Meek Mill & Rick Ross. "I hope everybody else loves it. It's a good feeling Flex. I been working so hard. That song is actually like a scratch, little piece off the ice berg." Juelz continued, "It was a heavily requested song, everybody saw that [on the tracklist], they wanted to hear it, so I was like lemme just throw that out there, get the people excited. Shoutout to Fab, shoutout to Meek. For some reason a lot of people think me and Fab got issues or whatever so, it was just a good record I felt to throw out there, show me getting off, Ross on the hook, You know, that's the wave that's going on right now, so for me to just jump in that world and get crazy real quick, act up real quick. But the tape is crazy, God Will'n.
Funkmaster Flex also broaches the topic of a Dipset project, and why their music didn't always came to fruition. Juelz explains the possibility is definitely there, now that he's back on his grind musically."Definitely, definitely Flex. Shoutout to Jim, shoutout to Cam. At the time, when we put out the "Salute" record, it was still at the time where I wasn't doing a lot of music, period.I wasn't back in the zone I needed to be in, musically." Juelz continued, "It's not even about that project, you know like, I took a break, a break from everything. All the people that reached out to me for records and things at certain times, I just wanna put it out there, I'm back. Getting back to the Dipset project, I'ma say I wasn't really in my mojo to sit down and complete a Dipset project. That's why I'm saying it is possible, I'm sure Cam is willing to do it, I'm sure Jim is willing to do it, I've always been willing to do it, it was just about me getting my music mojo back."
